Email Security & Spam Filtering

Spam and phishing filtering, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC so your domain cannot be spoofed, and Microsoft 365 or Exchange configured so mail flows and fraud does not.

Tired of junk mail? Most spam is a nuisance. The small fraction that gets through carrying a fake invoice, a password reset, or changed wire instructions is how businesses actually lose money. CaneData integrates the right filtering for your size and configures your domain so nobody can send email pretending to be you.

What we set up

  • Cloud spam and phishing filtering in front of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Exchange
  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records configured correctly and monitored, including for your marketing and invoicing tools
  • Attachment sandboxing and safe-link rewriting
  • Impersonation rules that flag messages pretending to be your owner, CFO, or bookkeeper
  • Quarantine digests users can manage themselves, so you stop being the spam help desk
  • Email archiving and retention for legal and industry requirements
  • Encryption for messages that carry sensitive data
  • Migration off aging on-premises Exchange servers

Why DMARC matters

Without SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, anyone on the internet can send an email that appears to come from your domain, to your clients, your vendors, or your own accounting department. With them in place, receiving mail servers reject the forgery, and you get reports showing who tried. It is a few DNS records, and it is one of the highest-value changes a small business can make.
